Be a Problem Detective!

Recently, my students became members of The Problem Detectives Club (which was just KIND OF a big deal in my class!). This means they are now EXPERTS at identifying problems and coming up with solutions to those problems. Woo hoo!

As they entered the classroom in the morning, they received a Top Secret envelope from The Problem Detectives! This immediately piqued their interest!

Up on the board was this little “Wanted” poster and a letter from The Problem Detectives!

After my students shouted, “YES! WE WANT TO BE A PART OF THE PROBLEM DETECTIVES CLUB!” I allowed them to open their Top Secret envelopes and begin their detective work!

Students had to read each case file, identify the problem, and come up with a possible solution to the problem. They did a fantastic job! After they wrote down their “observations,” we shipped the envelopes back to The Problem Detectives Headquarters to be looked over.

Of course, The Problem Detectives APPROVED of my kiddos awesome detective work and each student received a very special Certificate of Membership to the club. image

They also worked together to complete some fun extension activities! They LOVED reading each mini-story and identifying the problems/solutions.

  3. The players would begin as members of the SCA, going to Phoenix
for the Estrella War. A murder mystery game is a fun way to pass the time
